Objects, Layers, and Passages

Individual Study
The title “Objects, Layers, and Passages” draws inspiration from the renowned work of Robin Evans, "Figures, Doors, and Passages." Through the carefully composed objects, layers, and passages, which are inspired by mise en scene in the films of Yasujiro Ozu, I hope to capture the essence of transience and movement, thus conveying the concept of temporality. Immersing oneself in this painting is an invitation to explore the dynamic interplay of objects, the intriguing depths of layered spaces, and the notion of transitory movement. It mirrors the transient nature of existence, where moments unfold and transform, revealing glimpses of hidden narratives and shifting perceptions.
