This project reflects on how we designers can critically apply machine learning into the process of design.
In Part I, I use the machine learning technique. Through the machine learning of two data set: urban grids and plants cells, images combing both structural qualities are generated. The jump cut of model proposes to critic the meaning of machine learning and argue that in between the machine learning images and forms, the intelligence of designers should never be neglected.
In Part II, I hope to propose a new form of “social condenser”. It is a kind of “density without architecture”, “a culture of visible congestion”. The iconic landscape and urban elements are attached to the landform generated in Part I. The kit-bashing process is operated in Houdini.
